Aleine is Counsel of Creel, García-Cuéllar, Aiza y Enríquez in the Mexico City office, where she specializes in competition and antitrust.
Obtained with honors her law degree (JD) from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) in Mexico in 2012 and her MBA at EGADE Business School ITESM in 2019.
Aleine joined Creel in 2014. In 2024, she worked in the New York office of Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP as a foreign associate in the litigation area specializing in antitrust. She rejoined Creel in early 2025.
Aleine has represented multiple multinational clients in merger control notification proceedings and has participated in some of the most complex matters, such as Xerox in the acquisition of Lexmark, WestRock in its merger with Smurfit Kappa, HP in the acquisition of Poly, Cornershop in its acquisition by Uber, ChemChina in the acquisition of Syngenta, and Delta Air Lines in its Joint Cooperation Agreement and acquisition of a participation in Aeroméxico.
Other merger control notifications include representing McCormick in its acquisition of an additional 25% equity interest in McCormick de México, a joint venture with Grupo Herdez; and Ollamani’s sale of 49% of Club América and the Estadio Azteca to General Atlantic.
Since 2024, Aleine has been ranked in Associates to Watch by Chambers and Partners, and since 2019 in Who’s Who Legal as Competition Future Leaders – Non-Partners.
Her native language is Spanish and she is fluent in English.
