Andrés has actively worked as Mexican counsel in numerous transactions, representing domestic and international clients and has solid experience in Latin America. Andrés regularly advises a wide array of clients in complex capital markets and structured finance transactions.
Andrés has been very active in the Mexican private equity market by advising Mexican and international sponsors in establishing their respective Mexican CKD funds through public listings of CKDs, CERPIs and private funds in Mexico, including KKR, BlackRock, Riverstone, Walton Street Capital and Finsa. In capital markets, Andrés has advised issuers and underwriters in multiple domestic and global equity and debt offerings. In the realm of banking and finance, Andrés regularly advises global and domestic financial institutions in financings to Mexican companies or with a Mexican component.
Andrés worked as an International Visiting Lawyer in the New York office of Dechert, LLP in 2013.
Andrés obtained his law degree (JD) from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City in 2008, and obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Finance from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City in 2009. Andrés obtained his LL.M. degree from Columbia University in 2012. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
