BERNARDO BASALDUA OCHOA IS COUNSEL AT CREEL, GARCÍA-CUÉLLAR, AIZA Y ENRÍQUEZ, SPECIALIZING IN CIVIL, COMMERCIAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEEDINGS.

Bernardo has participated in numerous civil, commercial and administrative disputes before Federal and Local Courts in many states of the Mexican Republic. He is also highly experienced in proceedings, having represented national and international companies before Federal governmental authorities in Mexico. With extensive experience in oral trials, his practice has been associated with proceedings related to banking and financial services, electronic transfers, damages and civil liabilities, insurances, and real estate projects, among others.

Frequently, Bernardo has been involved in significant proceedings, not only because of the economic benefits for the clients but also because of the complexity of the related evidence and all the aspects involved in such proceedings. Likewise, he has participated in several audits and served as an advisor for prevention and risk management.

In 2009, Bernardo got a degree in Law from the Universidad Iberoamericana. He has studied several diplomas related to Amparo issued by the Suprema Corte de Justicia de la Nación, Asociación Nacional de Magistrados y Jueces de Distrito del Poder Judicial de la Federación, Colegio de Secretarios de la Suprema Corte de Justicia de la Nación, and the Asociación Nacional de Doctores en Derecho. Further, he earned a diploma in “Derecho de los Contratos” at Universidad Iberoamericana.

Before his participation at Creel, García-Cuéllar, Aiza y Enríquez, Bernardo worked at two prominent Mexican law firms, where he gained experience in civil, commercial, and administrative law, as well as constitutional proceedings.

In 2023 and 2024, he was nominated by Legal 500 in the category of “Dispute Resolution: Litigation Rising of the year”.

Bernardo is a bilingual individual; he is fluent in both English and Spanish, with Spanish being his primary language.
