B ernardo Basaldua Ochoa

Bernardo has extensive experience representing national and international companies in civil, commercial, and administrative disputes before federal and local courts across multiple states of the Mexican Republic. He regularly appears before federal governmental authorities and has developed a significant practice in oral trials. His work spans proceedings related to banking and financial services, electronic transfers, damages and civil liabilities, insurance matters, and real estate projects, among other areas.

Throughout his career, Bernardo has been involved in significant proceedings distinguished not only by the economic benefits secured for clients but also by the complexity of the evidence and the multiple dimensions of the matters at hand. He has participated in several audits and served as an advisor on prevention and risk management. Prior to joining Creel, García-Cuéllar, Aiza y Enríquez, he practiced at two prominent Mexican law firms, where he developed foundational expertise in civil, commercial, administrative, and constitutional proceedings.

Bernardo has been recognized by Legal 500, where he was nominated in the category of Dispute Resolution: Litigation Rising of the Year in both 2023 and 2024.

Bernardo holds a law degree from the Universidad Iberoamericana (2009) and has pursued specialized studies in Amparo proceedings through programs offered by the Suprema Corte de Justicia de la Nación, the Asociación Nacional de Magistrados y Jueces de Distrito del Poder Judicial de la Federación, the Colegio de Secretarios de la Suprema Corte de Justicia de la Nación, and the Asociación Nacional de Doctores en Derecho. He also completed a diploma in Derecho de los Contratos at the Universidad Iberoamericana. Bernardo is fluent in English and Spanish.
