CRISANTO SANCHEZ IS COUNSEL IN THE MEXICO CITY OFFICE. HIS PRACTICE FOCUSES ON CAPITAL MARKETS, PRIVATE EQUITY AND BANKING AND FINANCE.
Mr. Sánchez works actively advising a wide array of clients in complex capital markets, private equity and structured finance transactions. In the private equity practice, Mr. Sánchez has advised Mexican and international sponsors in establishing their respective Mexican funds, through public listing of CKDs, CERPIs and formation of private funds, including Walton Street Capital, PGIM, Glisco Partners, SURA, Mota-Engil, Grupo MRP, APX, Capital Índigo, Gava Capital, among others. In the capital markets practice, he actively advises issuers, underwriters and other participants in capital markets, in connection with domestic and cross-border transactions, including advice in connection with private offerings, offering of structured securities, Mexican REITs (FIBRAS), offering of debt securities, securitizations and offering of secured and asset backed securities. In structured financing, he has actively participated advising international and domestic lenders, borrowers and financial entities, in connection with a wide variety of transactions including single bank and syndicated loan facilities, acquisition financings, secured and unsecured financing, structured financing, project financing, asset-based financing and in one of the first debtor-in possession financing under the Mexican insolvency law.
Mr. Sánchez obtained his Law Degree from the Universidad Iberoamericana (Magna Cum Laude) in Mexico City in 2010. Additionally, he obtained his LL.M. in Corporation Law from the New York University School of Law in 2012. He also obtained a diploma in Advanced Legal English from the Georgetown University Law Center in 2010. Prior to joining the firm in 2012, Mr. Sánchez worked in international and local renowned firms in Mexico City, since 2007.
Mr. Sánchez has been professor of the Financial Law System course of the Finance Post-Graduate Degree at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM). His native language is Spanish and he is fluent in English.
