Mr. Palacios acquired extensive experience in constitutional litigation early in his career working for the law firm of a former Justice of the Supreme Court Justice, which enables him to design sophisticated litigation strategies involving constitutional issues in civil, commercial and administrative litigation.
He specializes in high-stake civil litigation, primarily involving material, moral, and punitive damages. Additionally, he excels in complex commercial litigation related to financial institutions and services, covering areas such as banking, insurance, leasing, trusts, among others, and hospitality and real estate.
His expertise extends to strategic administrative and constitutional litigation with a focus on various legal domains such as aviation, telecommunications, data protection, expropriations, public bids, concessions, construction, civil protection, antitrust, education, and railroads.
Widely recognized for his legal acumen, Mr. Palacios has a notable reputation in handling amparo proceedings against laws and any kind of regulation.
He has successfully argued landmark cases before Federal Courts and the Mexican Supreme Court of Justice, solidifying his position as a distinguished figure in the legal field.
He is co-author of the 1st to the 7th editions and of “Complex Commercial Litigation – Chapter Mexico” published by The Law Reviews.
In the academic field, he has been a professor at the law school of Universidad Iberoamericana.
Mr. Palacios obtained his law degree (JD) from the Universidad Panamericana in 2004 and his specialization degree in Procedural Law Institutions in 2005 from the same institution.
His native language is Spanish, and he is fluent in English.
