José Ignacio Segura Alonso is a Partner with Creel, García-Cuéllar, Aiza y Enríquez S.C., in Mexico City where he focuses on Project Finance and Energy and Infrastructure.
Mr. Segura concentrates on project finance, including Public Private Partnerships (PPPs). He frequently represents project sponsors and developers as equity investors, owners and in their other commercial and financial roles in major infrastructure, natural resource, industrial and energy projects and portfolios, from initial investment to exit.
He also advises clients regarding corporate transactions, foreign investment transactions, public biddings, financing transactions involving states and municipalities, debt restructuring, bankruptcy proceedings, joint ventures and real estate. Ignacio also has broad experience in coordinating litigation proceedings.
Publications, such as Chambers Latin America have ranked him as “Up and Coming” and described him as “highly recognized for his attention to the details and ability to get to the bottom of complex affairs.”
Mr. Segura obtained his law degree (JD) from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) in Mexico City. His native language is Spanish and he is fluent in English.
