LAURA FRÍAS IS COUNSEL IN THE MEXICO CITY OFFICE. HER PRACTICE FOCUSES ON TRANSFER PRICING.
Laura focuses her practice on planning, transfer pricing policy setting, advanced pricing agreements, transfer pricing compliance as well as in identifying risks and opportunities in mergers and acquisitions transactions. She joined Creel, García-Cuéllar, Aiza y Enríquez, S.C. in 2017 and previously served as head of Transfer Pricing for General Electric in Mexico and other countries in Latin America for more than 10 years. Prior to that, she was Manager of Tax Planning at Grupo Televisa. Laura began her career at a boutique tax firm in Mexico City.
Laura was born in Mexico City, Mexico. She obtained her degree in Public Accounting from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) and also obtained post-graduate degrees in Transfer Pricing from the Institute of Business Development Anáhuac in conjunction with the Universidad de Cantabria, as well as from the Colegio de Contadores Públicos de México. Laura is a member of the International Fiscal Association (IFA), where she currently holds the sub-coordinator position for the Transfer Pricing Committee. She is fluent in Spanish and English.
