Sebastián’s practice focuses on antitrust and competition, investigation, and compliance. He is also experienced in antitrust litigation ranging from anticompetitive behavior to merger control and other antitrust law infringements.
Sebastián regularly represents clients in all industries in merger control filings, investigations, and leniency applications before Mexican Antitrust and Competition Authorities, as well as in constitutional appeals (amparo) before Federal Courts.
He joined Creel, García-Cuéllar, Aiza y Enríquez in 2013. He worked as a foreign transaction associate in the Dusseldorf (Germany) office of Linklaters in 2022-2023. In 2023 he did a (virtual) secondment at Anglo American in London for the Compliance and Competition team. Sebastián re-joined the Firm in 2024. He received his law degree from Universidad Panamericana (Mexico City) with Cum Laude recognition in 2016 and his LL.M. degree in Law and Economics from Utrecht University (the Netherlands) in 2022.
